DrawnIn Support

Please report any bugs you encounter. Our goal is bug free but it seems to be a moving target (as with all apps).

Instructions can be found in the app itself in the About screen. You can also directly email support via the Email Support button. We encourage you to reach out to us and keep us up on what you are doing or trying to do as well as your suggestions for how to improve the app! We also want to know who's using DrawnIn so we can build a strong community.

Please, please be kind to us since this is a very small team and we are trying to do something big here. This 1.0 release is very far from perfect. We know! We will work hard to improve the app on a constant basis and plan to keep it up for years so enjoy and by all means let us know what you think!

Basic Instructions
DrawnIn gives you a new way to communicate expressively with your friends (and even strangers with common interests). We know your content is important to you so our goal is to style your content so it looks as good as possible and then to have fun with it so it gets enhanced and amplified in enjoyable and entertaining ways. But first you need to make some connections! Making Connections
Ugh, not that again!!! We wish we could magically connect you to all the same people you are already connected to on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter for starters but alas all those services are rightly protecting your privacy. So for know you will have to request connections to people you know who are already in the DrawnIn Network (registered users). This can be done like so:
  1. Make sure your friends have the free app installed and have Registered and Signed In.
  2. Logging in with Facebook is easiest and we don't gather any info about your friends or really much of anything besides your name and email (needed for communication only, not marketing!).
  3. If you know your friend's User Name or email address they used, you can search for it in the Friends panel and Tap Request.
  4. They should see your request appear on the other side and then approve the connection and that's that.
  5. You can also email invites to your friends and family to download the app from the friends panel.
  6. You can also accept Connection requests you receive as well. This is an area we will greatly improve as we move ahead.
Starting or Joining Sessions
Once you are in the system and have some friends in your list, you can start communicating like this:
  1. Go to the Session Panel and see if you have any Sessions that are listed that you are a member of already. Tap on one to join in if so.
  2. Or, start a new session by tapping the + button and selecting who you want to communicate with.
  3. Give your Sessions unique names for the best distinction since this appears in the Title Bar of the "Artversation" Page (Current Conversation or Chat also).
  4. Once started, you can proceed to message the others in the session by one of the three methods up top: Draw, Text, Trace or Photo
  5. You can also start an instant session in the Friends panel by tapping the 3 dots menu button and selecting New Session
  6. When you start a Session, you are said to be the Owner of that Session and that gives you special privileges such as ability to end the session, remove people from the session, add people to it and change the background of the session. In the world of Sessions, the Owner is the god so use your power wisely!
Starting or Joining Parties and Events
Parties are special sessions that happen in a certain time frame and can't be accessed outside of that time frame. Public Events require moderators but still enter public events with caution unless it is sponsored because you never know who the moderators are. Don't post anything in public events that is offensive or you may get banned quickly and your post will not get past moderators. Once you are banned from an event, you can't get back in. Rack up enough bans overall and you may get banned from the entire system. Parties and Events are basically the equivalent of Group Chats or Chat Rooms where people can gather at a certain time on a certain day and participate. However, one special feature available in the Mac Store is the Party Projector. This program will let you log in with your Drawn In identity, select your event and start streaming an animated light show made from the content of the group. When Creating a new Event, if you want to require people to enter in a special Pass Code to get into your event, such as one you emailed or appears on flyers or invitations, enter that into the field up to 12 characters. Otherwise leave it blank. If you want them to enter the pass code before they even see your party listed, uncheck List Party. Public Events have special restrictions to prevent abuse. First, the event has to be approved by the Event Team to make sure the name, icon and description are releasable to the public. You must pick one or more Moderators to filter content and/or users before content becomes public so pick your moderators wisely or else you could lose Public Event privileges. If you are a Moderator of an event, you will see an extra button appear that says "Moderate." Tap on this to see the current Backlog of unapproved content. You can perform several actions here:
  1. Approve the content
  2. Approve the content with a Like to promote it in the Projector
  3. Reject the content
  4. Trust the User (all their content gets auto-approved for event)
  5. Ban the User from the event
If you are interested in promoting your event to more people or to make it more prominent in the listings, contact events(@)technemedia(•)com to arrange paid Sponsorship and various options.
